TREE PLANTING IN POND FIELD
2000 Trees
In January 2025, Noxon Farm received a Woodland Trust grant to transform the landscape by integrating trees with traditional farming as part of an agroforestry project. Overlooking the lake, a carefully planned orchard combines over 300 fruit and nut trees with glorious, diverse native tree shelter belts.
These trees will provide a future crop for the farm while also creating a resilient ecosystem that enhances biodiversity, improves soil health, and supports local wildlife. This approach not only yields sustainable produce but also aids in carbon capture and water management, demonstrating how trees and agriculture can work together for both environmental and economic benefits. The project serves as a model for regenerative land management, illustrating how farming and conservation can go hand in hand. Over the years, the view will evolve into a haven for biodiversity and a gathering place for our community.
